June 10, 2022: Rostourism (Russian Federal Agency for Tourism) granted national status to the tour "Peter the Great's Startup". This will provide publicity by Rostourism for its promotion. It is to be featured in the list of tours offered by federal operators and in Rostourism's marketing plan, with an opportunity to receive federal grants.


The itinerary of "Peter the Great's Startup" extends to 265 km (about 165 mi); it takes three days and two nights. The program offers visits to Rostov-on-Don, Taganrog, Azov, and coastal settlements of Merzhanovo, Tanais and Sambek. As long as tourist destinations associated with Peter the Great occupy a special place in this program, Taganrog stands out.

The number of tourists choosing the tour "Peter the Great's Startup" is planned to reach 20 thousand by 2027.
