July 5, 2022: Rostov Oblast Governor Vasily Golubev and Director General of Rostselmash Plant Valery Maltsev signed an agreement regarding the implementation Taganrog's agricultural and utility machinery project. This was done within the framework of the International Innovation Forum "INNOPROM-2022", which was held in the city of Yekaterinburg on July 4.


According to the agreement, regional authorities commit themselves to support the project. An amount of 1.5 billion roubles is to be invested in the new plant. In response, Rostselmash ensures the completion of the project in the fourth quarter of 2024. The output is expected to amount to 3 billion roubles per year with an annual percentage increase of 10-15 %.

Earlier Rostselmash Plant confirmed its willingness to manufacture refuse collection and street-cleaning vehicles, using the remaining infrastructure of Taganrog's defunct automotive assembly plant TagAZ. The foundation stone of the new plant was laid in Taganrog on May 13, 2022.
