October 14, 2024: the Commonwealth of Independent States Open Cup took place in the city of Sochi, Krasnodar Krai on October 7-14. Over 200 athletes from 11 regions of Russia and from Belarus competed in the 470, men's 49er, women's 49er FX, iQFoil, women's Laser Radial, men's Laser Standard, and the Nacra 17 categories.
Before the final race, Alisa Yeschenko, an athlete from Taganrog, was holding 5th position in the Laser Radial category. And yet, she managed to pull out the bronze medal due to her impressive performance on the last day of the tournament. Thanks to the results, Alisa Yeshenko was accepted into Team Russia.

We congratulate Alisa Yeschenko and her coach Vadim Mekhanikov and wish them every success in their further career, as well as new victories and major achievements.
Most recently, she won
a silver medal in the 1st stage of 2024 Russian Sailing Cup, a
bronze medal in the first stage of the All-Russian Sailing Championships and another
bronze in the 3rd stage of the 2024 Russian Sailing Cup.
