Taganrog Moves Its Cable Infrastructure Underground

April 21, 2022: Efforts continue to implement the federal program "Clear Sky" aimed at replacement of overhead cables and wires with underground cables in Taganrog's historic downtown area. The first 100 million roubles for its implementation were provided during the visit of Chairwoman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko.

Rosseti-Yug company has been moving cable infrastructure underground in 7 areas, and these works have been fully completed at the following sites: "Alferaki Palace", Chekhov Square, Birth House of Anton Chekhov, Taganrog Museum of Architecture and Urbanism, Ulitsa Petrovskaya (from Italianski to Ukrainski).

The works are underway in front of the Old Train Station and at the crossing of Ulitsa Frunze et Pereulok Spartakovski. The program "Clear Sky" is being implemented in parallel with modernization of the streetcar system and improvement works of such public areas as North Square Garden, Taganrog's Tercentenary Park and historic "Oak Grove" (Dubki).
