August 15, 2022: Rostov Oblast Governor Vasily Golubev and First Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council Andrey Yatskin visited Taganrog within the framework of a working trip to the city.
The delegation inspected three of the objects included in
Taganrog's urban revitalization program - the tram depot, Dubki Grove, and Pushkinskaya Embankment.
The guests checked the renovation road map for
Pushkinskaya Embankment. It had been changed so as to comprise not only the renewal and extension of public open space, but also improvements in coast establishing structure. All the works are to be finished by the 325th anniversary of the city (September 2023).
An essential part of
Taganrog streetcar system's renovation is the tram depot's overhauling, which is currently underway. Vasily Golubev and Andrey Yatskin were informed of the works within the territory of
the depot, including the erection of several new buildings. About 150 employees and 25 pieces of equipment are engaged in the process.
The streetcar system modernization is scheduled to be completed in September 2022.
Governor and First Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council praised the positive dynamic in the improvement of
Dubki Grove. The laying of paving tiles and the installation of road kerb have almost been completed. Benches, streetlight, and pathways are also set out.
"It is important to carry on the revitalization of Taganrog - continue gardening, straightening up leisure areas, and putting in place a number of sites in the downtown", said Governor.
In 2022, Vasily Golubev and Andrey Yatskin visited Taganrog in
April and
June.
