March 30, 2023: the All-Russian Canoe Championships took place in the city of Krasnodar on March 22-27. It was the first canoe games in the 2023 Russian season. About 350 athletes from over 30 regions were competing at such distances as 200 meters, 500 meters, 1000 meters, and 5000 meters.


Trainees of Taganrog's Youth Sports School of Olympic Reserve No. 3 performed well in the competition. Maxim Spesivtsev, who has regularly displayed positive results, became an undisputed champion by winning three gold medals (in men's kayak single 500m, 1000m, and 2000m). Vitaly Yershov won silver in men's kayak single 1000m. Olesya Kozeeva ranked 6th in women's kayak single 500m.
