September 5, 2025: the 4th International Canoe Championships "Free Will Cup" took place in the city of Moscow on August 27-30. About 800 Russian athletes were competing at such distances as 200 meters, 500 meters, 1,000 meters, and 5,000 meters.

Maxim Spesivtsev, an athlete from Taganrog, once again confirmed his high level of skill by winning three gold medals: in men's kayak single 500 m, 5,000 m, and quad 500 m. He also got a silver medal in men's kayak single 1,000 m.
