September 27, 2019: grand opening of Taganrog Museum of Art's new exhibition "Twentieth-Century Art: 100 years in Review" was held in Taganrog on September 26, 2019.
It is for the first time that the most outstanding artworks of the past century, such as paintings, graphic art and sculptures have all been united in one exhibition. The solemn ceremony brought together regional and local officials including First Deputy Governor of Rostov Oblast Igor Guskov, Taganrog City Manager Andrei Lisitskiy, representatives of Rostov Oblast Ministry of Culture, artists and art connoisseurs.
"Rostov Oblast Government will continue to promote the development of this museum. Much has been accomplished in this direction in recent years. The Governor of Rostov Oblast Vasily Golubev has always supported us and will stand by us", - highlighted Igor Guskov.
Andrei Lisitskiy congratulated all guests on the inauguration of the new exhibition, stating that now the museum has a new building for which the community had been waiting long 30 years: "Today the development of culture is a cornerstone of education that plays a critical role in preparing our children to have the necessary skills, values and attitudes".
