Adolf-Reichwein-Gesamtschule students visit Taganrog

January 22, 2007: The German department of the Taganrog State Teachers' Training College was founded in 1994. Each year, the department in collaboration with DAAD has sent its best students to diverse universities in Germany. At present, the best 4th year student Natalia Muradova studies at the Essen University, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.

The friendship relations to the sister city Lüdenscheid are very important. Many teachers at the German department have found friends in Lüdenscheid. The department signed an agreement with Adolf-Reichwein-Gesamtschule to develop educational exchanges between students of the two cities. In August 2007, a delegation of the 4th year students from Taganrog will be visiting the school in Lüdenscheid, and January 6-27, 2007 the department is receiving high school students from Ludenscheid: Sebastian, Nadja and Fabian.

The young Germans came to Taganrog not only for a visit: they have a practical work here, Sebastian at the municipal secondary school Nr. 5, specializing in German language; Fabian practices in natural sciences and works at the ecological department of Southern Federal University; while Nadja is learning the basics of hotel management business. She made acquaintance with work at the hotels "Zolotoy Bereg" and "Taganrog", and she will get consultations in Southern Federal University at the faculty of tourism.

The visit program included a lot of museums in Taganrog and Rostov and meetings with the chair of the German department Professor Galina Polenova; Taganrog State Teachers' Training College science prorector Professor A. Fyodorov and innovation technique prorector Professor Grigory Grebenshikov.

January 25, a farewell meeting will be held at the German department, and January 27 the German guests will return to Lüdenscheid.
