February 11-15, 2009: Aerospace exhibition Aero India 2009 took place in Yelahanka air base (Bangalore, India).
The leading world manufacturers of aerotechnics and space engineering participated in this exhibition, about 500 companies from 20 countries. The Russian delegation included about 40 companies of Russian military complex and was headed by representatives of Rosoboronexport.
Beriev Aircraft Corp. participated in Aero India 2009 exhibition inside the common exposition of Irkut research and production complex. The company's stand represented the information related to current and prospective projects of the complex including projects on Be-200 multipurpose amphibian aircraft (and its modifications), Be-103 multipurpose light aircraft, Be-101 and Be-112 prospective aircraft as well as A-42PE amphibian aircraft. In addition, specialists and visitors could be acquainted with A-50E AEW aircraft and Be-32KMD aircraft.
During the exhibition the company presented the forthcoming Gidroaviasalon-2010 which will take place September 9-12, 2010.
The business meetings conducted during the exhibition by representatives of a number of companies proved good export prospects of amphibian aircraft designed by
Beriev Aircraft Corp.. The potential aircraft customers were interested in patrol and search-and-rescue capabilities of amphibian aircraft on the sea. In particular, the negotiations with Aril Chopra, Director General of Indian Coast Guard, Vice Admiral were conducted. The meeting was used to present Be-200 patrol version, and characteristics of this aircraft in view of Indian side requirements were discussed.
Aero India 2009 exhibition was the next stage to make contacts with new partners as well as to expand international cooperation related to amphibian aircraft building.
