Students of Lüdenscheid Bergstadt Gymnasium visiting Taganrog

May 29, 2019: German students from the Lüdenscheid Bergstadt Gymnasium are visiting the city of Taganrog within the framework of a mutual educational exchanges with Taganrog Management and Economics College. The cooperation between the college in Taganrog and Lüdenscheid's gymnasium started in 1996 within the framework of various Robert Bosch grant foundation's programs.

Since 1996, the two colleges have completed six projects, two of which ("The Youth and Labor of Love" and "Migrants in Taganrog and Lüdenscheid") were noted by Robert Bosch grant foundation.

In 2019, 10 students and 3 teachers of the Lüdenscheid's Bergstadt Gymnasium have a highly eventful program, which includes visits to local museums and tourist attractions around Taganrog and Rostov Oblast. This year's project is named "Always to shine! To shine everywhere!" and is dedicated to school life.

May 28, 2019 the Bergstadt Gymnasium's delegation was received by Taganrog City Council President and City Executive Inna Titarenko and representatives of the Taganrog Local Government. The guests from Lüdenscheid told about their rich program of stay in Taganrog and the region - numerous tours, meetings, visiting the Rostov Arena stadium, and shared their first impressions of Taganrog. Head of Bergstadt Gymnasium's delegation Vlada Heinen noted that the visitors were particularly impressed by the friendliness and hospitality of the local residents and by abundance of greenery in the streets.

Inna Titarenko expressed her appreciation of the work and cooperation between the two institutions: "The more joint projects are implemented, the higher interest people pay for Germany and Russia, their cultures, different aspects of life, leading to strengthening understanding and mutual trust among our nations".

On a final note Taganrog City Executive wished German students many vivid impressions and nice time in Taganrog.
