June 6, 2014: The exchange program between The Taganrog State Professional School no.30 and Polytechnic College in
Lüdenscheid, Germany was established in 2011, and was greatly facilitated by the sister city agreement between Taganrog and
Lüdenscheid, which was signed in 1991 to promote cultural, educational and commercial ties between the two populations.
May 26-June 4, 2014 five students from Taganrog were engaged in practical training at local Lüdenscheid businesses, while two teachers of Taganrog State School no. 30 attended lectures and studies at the German college, and conferences dedicated to mutual exchanges in vocational education. The students from Taganrog made a tour of
Lüdenscheid's historical downtown, visited museums in the cities of Bochum, Essen and Cologne, participated in friendly sporting events, and visited a motorcycle polo ("motorball") match in Kierspe.
Delegates from Taganrog stayed with German host families, improving their knowledge of German and English languages, and allowing to learn more about the country, its culture, and establish friendly relationships.
In September 2014 the Taganrog's Professional School no.30 expects the return visit by the German delegation from
Lüdenscheid college.
