August 29, 2007: German students from the Lüdenscheid Bergstadt Gymnasium are visiting the Taganrog Management and Economics College, August 25 - September 2, 2007. The cooperation between the college in Taganrog and Lüdenscheid's gymnasium started in 1996 within the framework of various Robert Bosch grant foundation's programs. In 2007, 15 students and 2 teachers from the Bergstadt Gymnasium in Lüdenscheid) are visiting the city of Taganrog, its museums, many tourist attractions around Rostov Oblast, and the factory Krasny Kotelshik. There will also be a friendly lapta contest between the German team and two Russian teams.


The main subject of this year's meeting was participation in the project "Sports and Sponsorhip", which was fulfilled in cooperation with the German friends and received a Robert Bosch Foundation grant. August 29, 2007 the German delegation was received by Mayor Nikolay Fedyanin and representatives of the Taganrog Local Government. The students addressed many questions to Mayor Fedyanin and to Mr. Popov, the Deputy Chairman of the Taganrog Sports Committee, who presented Taganrog's sports achievements in 2007 and provided general information on sport arts most popular among the citizens of Taganrog.
