Official Delegation of the Japanese Embassy
visits Taganrog

August 30 - September 1, 2005 - the official delegation of the Japanese Embassy in Russian Federation, headed by Issei Nomura, Ambassador of Japan to the Russian Federation and his spouse, Noriko Nomura visited Rostov Oblast. Investment environment, trade and economic ties between Don region and Japan were the main topics on the agenda.

August 31, 2005 - the wife of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Russia, Mrs. Noriko Nomura and the Second Secretary of Japanese Embassy in Russia, Mr. Yoshinori Takeda toured Taganrog. Mrs. Nomura and Mr. Takeda visited Anton Chekhov memorial sites and other city's main tourist attractions - Peter the Great monument, Anton Chekhov's birthhouse, Chekhov Gymnasium, Taganrog Museum of Art and Alferaki Palace. After excursion Nikolay Fedyanin, Mayor of Taganrog, received the official Japanese delegation.
