September 2, 2008:
Taganrog Automobile Assembly Plant TAGAZ is about to finish the certification of two new models - "Vortex Estina" (Russian version of the Chinese car Chery Fora) and compact SUV "Chery Tiggo". The welding and assembling of the vehicles will be at the existing workshops of TagAZ. The technical changes made by the specialists of the assembly plant highly increased the resistance and reliability of the automobile's body, which was confirmed by the results of the frontal and side crash-tests. These automobiles satisfy the requirements of safety in the Russian Federation.
The TagAZ intends to have all approvals in the near future and will be launching the mass production of the vehicles in September 2008.

Taganrog Automobile Assembly Plant TAGAZ, Krasny Aksay Factory, Granit Factory, Rostov Diary, Donskaya Confectionery Factory, and
Taganrog Combine-Harvester Factory.
