October 15, 2012: a delegation of the "Forum Russische Kultur Gütersloh" headed by its Chairman Franz Kiesl visited the city of Taganrog within the framework of the crossover year of Russia and Germany (2012-2013). The first visit of Forum representatives to Taganrog took place in May 2009.

October 12, 2012 the representatives of "Forum Russische Kultur Gütersloh" met with Mayor Vladimir Prasolov and Deputy Mayor for Social Affairs Marina Radomskaya. Franz Kiesl and Klaus Peter Jantos told about the Forum's activities and the main events that have been held in 2012. The parties discussed the possible perspectives for cultural cooperation and exchanges in 2013.


The German guests participated in "The Days of German Culture - Oktoberfest in Taganrog", which was held in the Taganrog Museum of Local Lore & History (Alferaki Palace). Within the framework of the event, Mr. Kiesl awarded Taganrog citizens with letters of commendation for special contribution to strengthening Russian-German friendship.
