June 27, 2022: the historic Moscow Victory Parade was held on June 24, 1945. It was the first time after a long while that searchlights were directed toward the sky for symbolical purposes and not to detect approaching Nazi bomber aircrafts.


Exactly 77 years later, in order to commemorate this sign, Taganrog's Gorky Park joined the all-Russian campaign "Rays of Victory".

The municipal brass band performed on the occasion of the event. Thereafter, people who gathered in Gorky Park observed a minute of silence in memory of those who fell in the Great Patriotic War. The flowers were laid to the local "Eternal Light" monument.

The event culminated with searchlights illuminating the night sky above downtown Taganrog.
