July 27, 2013: the International Theater Festival "In The Homeland of Anton Chekhov" will be held in Taganrog. The theater companies from Taganrog, Madrid (Spain), Ashdod (Israel), Saransk (Russia), Saint Petersburg (Russia), Omsk (Russia) and Seoul (South Korea) will be performing on stage of the
Taganrog Chekhov Drama Theater. Taganrogers and visitors of the city are waiting to see the best directors' and actors' work in the plays by
Anton Chekhov, Dostoevsky and other classics.
The following performances are in the festival's program:

- September 19, 2013 at 6PM "The Gamblers" by Nikolai Gogol (The Nikolay Akimov Saint Petersburg Comedy Theatre)
- September 20, 2013 at 6PM "The Farewell Performance of the Prince K" after Fyodor Dostoevsky's Uncle's Dream (Taganrog Theater)
- September 21, 2013 at 5PM "The Seagull" by Anton Chekhov (Seoul, South Korea)
- September 22, 2013 at 6PM "The Brothers Karamazov" by Fyodor Dostoevsky (Omsk State Drama Theater "Galerka")
- September 23, 2013 TBA "War's Unwomanly Face" by Svetlana Aleksievich (Ashdod, Israel)
- September 23, 2013 TBA "The Dressing Room" by Shimizu Kunio (Saransk, Russia)
