July 14-20, 2014: the traditional International Chekhov Week (Die Internationale Tschechow Woche) dedicated to Anton Chekhov's 110th death anniversary was held by Badenweiler International Literature Forum and German Chekhov Society in Badenweiler, Germany.
Taganrog Municipal Choir "Lik" (directed by Alexey Loginov) gave a concert for participants of the memorial festival. The program entitled "Songs of life, joy and destiny: Anton Chekhov and music" featured religious works, great choral masterworks of Russian and West European classic composers, and folk songs.

Badenweiler and distinguished guests thanked the Taganrog choir for keeping cultural traditions between the two partner cities alive. "I welcome this important visit and hope that our cooperation and exchanges will continue to further expand", said mayor Karl-Eugen Engler.
