April 27, 2022: Russian National Archery Championship was held in the city of Alushta, Crimea. It brought together over 250 archers from 30 regions of Russian Federation, who came to contest 8 sets of medals in individual and team events.
Yelena Osipova, an athlete from Taganrog, became the Russian champion in women's individual recurve bow after defeating Erzhen Ochirova from the Republic of Buryatia in the final.
Earlier Yelena Osipova won
two silver medals at the 2021 Hyundai Archery World Cup Final in Yankton, USA. In 2020 the athlete
claimed her first silver medal at the Summer Olympics in Tokyo as a member of the ROC women's national archery team and
her second silver medal in women's individual archery event.
She was among the athletes to receive the state award - the
Medal of the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland" of the first class.
