August 11, 2025: the All-Russian Archery Championship took place on August 4-9. The competition brought together about 280 athletes from 35 regions.
Yelena Osipova from Taganrog won a gold medal in women's individual recurve bow.
"For the first time in a very long period, I became the champion of Russia. Saint Petersburg always tests us with the unpredictability of its weather, and this time was no exception. It was hot, cold, and windy. We experienced absence of wind, rain, and scorching sun. But I survived all the hardships, as they seemed to me as part of my way, and I successfully achieved the goal," wrote Yelena Osipova on her VKontakte page.
Throughout her distinguished career, Yelena Osipova has been on track for a great number of medals and other major achievements. Among the most important, she won
a silver medal at the Summer Olympics in Tokyo as a member of the ROC women's national archery team and another
silver medal in women's individual archery event. She was among the athletes to receive the state award — the
Medal of the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland" of the first class.
