October 3, 2014: Representatives of the Embassy of France in Moscow visited Taganrog Teachers College.

The meeting of academic staff and students of Taganrog Chekhov Teachers College (former TGPI, now a branch of Rostov State University of Economics) with the French delegates was initiated by Andrey Goloborod'ko, deputy director of the college and was held in the historic building of the Foreign Languages Department in downtown Taganrog.

The French party represented by Guillaume Garreta, Attaché for Academic Cooperation of the Embassy of France and Olga Shtaneva, Coordinator of Regional Projects of Department On Culture and Cooperation of the Embassy of France shared their experience in terms of mutual French-Russian educational and cultural projects, presenting many opportunities offered by French partners for Russian students of the French language.

The meeting was held in the format of an animated friendly conversation in French, and in an atmosphere of mutual openness. The Taganrog Teachers College and Department On Culture and Cooperation of the Embassy of France agreed to schedule several joint activities, such as cultural forums supported by the Embassy of France and Alliance Française, further consultations aimed at development of mutual educational projects and participation of Taganrog students in various contests held by the Embassy of France.
