April 6-12, 2014: Official delegation of Taganrog led by Deputy Mayor Alexander Zabezhailo visited Germany.
The Taganrogers were invited by "Forum Russische Kultur Gütersloh" and its Chairman Franz Kiesl. Within a few days, the Taganrog Municipal Chamber Orchestra directed by Alexander Gurevich gave concerts in Gütersloh, Bielefeld-Senne, Steinhagen and Bonn.
At the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Bonn, musicians from Taganrog performed the works of Russian and foreign composers.
Deputy-mayor Mr. Zabezhailo and Russian representative of "Forum Russische Kultur Gütersloh" Mrs. Petrovskaya participated in the press conference dedicated to Russian-German cooperation. The event was attended by 27 civil society organizations from Germany, and mayors of several Nordrhein-Westfalen cities. Among the guests of the forum was Mr. Heinz Setzer, director of Chekhov Museum in
Badenweiler.
