September 9, 2025: VIRTUS Swimming Championships 2025, which is an international competition for mentally challenged athletes, took place in the city of Bangkok, Thailand on August 24-29. The championships brought together over 250 participants from 31 countries.
Artem Pavlenko, a trainee of the Taganrog Youth Sports School of Olympic Reserve No. 13, win three medals: two silvers in the men's 50 m and 200 m breaststroke, and bronze in the men's 100 m breaststroke.

In 2024, Artem Pavlenko
brought home bronze from the Madeira 2024 European Open Championships. He is also a silver medalist of the 2012 Paralympic Games in London, UK.
