COVID-19 City of Taganrog's Mitigation And Response #8

April 16, 2020: according to the latest information from Taganrog Health Department, the epidemiological situation in Taganrog as of April 16, 2020 is assessed as stable. 145 cases of COVID-19 have been registered in Rostov Oblast region. Fifty persons stay under regular medical supervision in the city of Taganrog. One confirmed case of COVID-19 was registered in Taganrog on April 13.

Taganrog Local Government released a Social Stability and Sustainable Economic Development Priority Action Plan to respond to the spread of COVID-19. The activities in the Plan aim mainly at supporting small and medium-sized businesses in this city: consultations, the single-tax rate fixed at 7.5%, a temporary retrieve on royalty payments to landowners, a moratorium on late payment penalties and interest for land rentals, control of the labour market situation and backdated salaries.

Taganrog City Council President & City Executive Inna Titarenko has released a video on the city's response and resident recommendations on handling Coronavirus COVID-19, urging the public to stay at home, to consider social distancing of at least 1.5 meters/5 feet, and to respect the recently adopted restrictive measures to slow the spread of COVID-19.
