Fourteen Taganrog businesses are producing protective face masks, working 7 days a week. The output is 12000 individual masks per shift. Four more companies in Taganrog are currently adapting their equipment to start production, planning to do 2500 face masks per shift. The total make of protective masks in Rostov Oblast area is expected to reach 120000 per day.

Taganrog Local Government has released public announcements urging residents to stay home with family members to slow the spread of COVID-19 and to protect the most vulnerable in this community, and to consider social distancing of at least 1.5 meters/5 feet.
