December 15, 2021: within the last three weeks the number of beds in Rostov Oblast's COVID-19 hospitals has been reduced by at least one and a half times. With that in mind, 1500 hospital beds are available again for planned medical assistance.
According to Rostov Oblast Health Ministry's data, 5823 hospital beds were used in regional COVID-19 hospitals in late November 2021. As the number of admissions went down, the number of hospital beds for people infected with COVID was reduced to 4186. The region also reports the new all-time high record of new one-day record in the number of COVID-19 recovered cases - 963 people.
Earlier, in accordance with Rostov Oblast Governor Vasily Golubev's regulation,
some of anti-COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted.
As of December 15, 185309 cases of COVID-19 have been registered in Rostov Oblast, and 160099 people have already recovered.
