COVID-19 City of Taganrog's Mitigation And Response #66

January 21, 2022: a coordination meeting of COVID-19 emergency response team was held in the city of Taganrog under the chairmanship of City Manager Mikhail Solonitsin.

It brought together deputy city managers, chief physicians of state-funded health centers, head of Taganrog Country Team of the Russian Federal State Agency for Health and Consumer Rights (Rospotrebnadzor) Sergey Musienko, representatives of the school board, health care authorities and social services office.

"We all should understand the importance of measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Failure to comply with existing requirements could lead to a deterioration of the situation. All measures recommended by Rospotrebnadzor should be performed fully and unconditionally", addressed the present people Mikhail Solonitsin.

Sergey Musienko updated the meeting on the current epidemiological situation, while the chief medical officer Tatiana Podlesnaya told about the steps in case of a worsening COVID-19 situation.

"In case of a worsening epidemiological situation, the action plan for outpatient clinics includes: patient volume reduction, emergency-only operation mode, respiratory assistance teams, etc", reported Tatiana Podlesnaya.

It is worth mentioning that Taganrog Nursing School has provided 47 students who have official jobs at various municipal medical institutions (including 6 students in red zones care for highest risk patients), 21 more students have volunteered to participate in various programs.

As of January 20, 201849 cases of COVID-19 have been registered in Rostov Oblast, and 181883 people have already recovered.
