March 9, 2022: following the recent easing of
COVID-19 restrictions, Rostov Oblast Governor Vasily Golubev decided that QR codes are no longer necessary to access public places starting tomorrow, March 10.
Furthermore, social distance is not obligatory anymore. Most restrictions on the capacity of venues, such as theaters, cinema and concert halls, gyms, swimming pools, waterparks, skating rinks, are lifted. Federal and local government offices resume the reception of visitors.
Nevertheless, some COVID-19 measures are still in force. They include wearing face masks by everyone as well as isolation and remote work for people of 60+ and/or with a chronic illness (unless these people have been immunized or have recovered from COVID-19).
As of March 9, 228627 cases of COVID-19 have been registered in Rostov Oblast, and 188750 people have already recovered.
