November 2, 2021: Rostov Oblast has entered into partial lockdown due to COVID-19 outbreak from October 28 to November 7. In particular, public catering will be closed until the end of the lockdown period. The exception is takeaway food services and food delivery services, both must receive only remote orders.

In the face of the nearing lockdown the chief sanitary inspector of Rostov Oblast Yevgeny Kovalev claimed that persons who are not immunized might get access restrictions to various public services.

"There is the emergency situation due to the virus causing a severe illness. The immunization is a tool which helps us to resolve the situation", said Yevgeny Kovalev.

As of November 2, 156717 cases of COVID-19 have been registered in Rostov Oblast, and 132506 people have already recovered.
