March 6, 2023: a video conference entitled "Tourism Opportunities of Rostov Oblast and the Republic of Belarus: Ways to Interact" took place on March 2. It was organized by Rostov Oblast Chamber of Commerce and Industry in cooperation with Brest office of Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The conference had the aim to increase the tourist flow between Rostov and Brest Oblasts. The organizers expressed hope that the participants from both sides would be able to find new partners, discuss the urgent business issues and give a forecast for the upcoming tourist season.
Taganrog Deputy City Manager Alexey Sanin participated in the event on behalf of the city. He spoke to the audience about the ongoing
Taganrog urban revitalization program. For example, the next stage of the implementation of the federal project
"Clear Sky" is to start this year, while preparations to
renovate Pushkinskaya Embankment are still underway. The most remarkable project so far has been
the major reconstruction of streetcar system and new trams for Taganrog, implemented by "Sinara - Transport Machines". Deputy City Manager also mentioned the refurbishment of the historic
Oak Grove "Dubki" and the development of
water communication via the water area of the Gulf of Taganrog.
As a final note, Alexey Sanin expressed his gratitude to other participants for their attention and said that economic and cultural ties between Taganrog and its Belarusian partners would be strengthened in the very near future.
