March 29, 2016: A mini-festival showcasing new francophone cinema is to be held in Taganrog on April 2-3, 2016. The event is under the patronage of Alliance Française, Taganrog Local Government, Taganrog Chekhov Teachers College and Taganrog Arts & Culture Council.
French Film program opens at Taganrog Chekhov Public Library on April 2 with animation movie "Jean from the Moon/Moon Man" (Stephan Schesch, Germany) at 15:00. The opening ceremony is to be held on the same day at 17:00 and is to be attended by Mr. Vivien FOUQUET, Director of Alliance Française in Rostov-on-Don, followed by the screening of comedy drama film "Memories" (director Jean-Paul Rouve, France).
Next day, the animation film "Aya of Yop City" by Ivorian artist and director Marguerite Abouet will be shown at Taganrog Chekhov Public Library and Belgian comedy-drama film "Mobile Home" (director François Pirot) to be screened at Taganrog Chekhov Gymnasium Literature Museum.
