December 21, 2023: the economic performance of Rostov Oblast was presented in Moscow within the framework of the international forum "Russia" at VDNKh Expo - the All-Union Exhibition of Achievements of National Economy on December 19. Taganrog City Manager Andrey Fateyev, employees of Taganrog companies, volunteers and regular residents of Taganrog participated in the event on behalf of the city. The number of visitors to the forum that day exceeded 3 million people.


In his welcome speech, Rostov Oblast Governor Vasily Golubev described the region's significant progress of recent years. In particular, the upgrade of public transport system was mentioned, and the modernization of the Taganrog streetcar system served as a good example. Governor also stated that the initiative to introduce a new mechanism for attracting funds from private investors to infrastructure development programs, which had been implemented in Taganrog, gave rise to the launch of similar projects throughout Russia.


The region's delegates held meetings with the business community at the forum. For example, Vasily Golubev and the director general of the fund "Gazprom Sotsialnye Initsiativy ("Gazprom Social Initiatives") Vladimir Priymak signed an agreement regarding the implementation of Pushkin Embankment's renovation.
