October 14, 2022: Greek National Cultural Autonomy unveiled the new exhibition "Taganrog - the Spirit of Greece". The opening ceremony took place in Taganrog Youth Center on Petrovskaya Street 89. The exhibition will be open to visitors until October 24.

"Taganrog - the Spirit of Greece" was organized within the framework of the art project "Taganrog - the City of Friendship" and coincided with the Year of Russian Peoples' Cultural Heritage.


The exhibition presents various activities of Taganrog Greeks - in particular, productions of the literary theatre "Odeon", a branch of Greek National Cultural Autonomy.

"The Greek roots of Taganrog go back to classical antiquity. This fact is essential to generate interest to local history and to develop tourism in Taganrog," said Pavel Revko-Linardato, Chairman of the Greek National Cultural Autonomy.


Public Relations Officer of Taganrog Local Government Alexander Balaev noted that the exhibition is bound to strengthen inter-ethnic concord as well as moral and spiritual values of all the peoples of Taganrog.

The office of Greek National Cultural Autonomy opened its doors in December 2021.
