October 4, 2022: the project entitled "Taganrog - the IT Capital of Russia" has been launched. It is supported and co-funded by Presidential Grants Fund.
In the framework of the project, Over 1,000 school students from all over Rostov Oblast will be visiting Taganrog during the ongoing school year. The high school seniors will learn more about Taganrog's educational opportunities, career prospects and
local cultural heritage.
According to Taganrog Deputy City Manager Alexey Sanin, the city is truly the IT hub of Russia, and therefore local authorities are all for highlighting the appeal of Taganrog in regard to future IT professionals.
It is noteworthy that the largest national percentage of IT companies is based in Taganrog. In terms of software export volumes the city gives in only to Moscow and Saint Petersburg.
Earlier, Taganrog Local Government and Specialized Endowment Fund "IT: Science and Education" signed a
cooperation agreement to create new opportunities for Taganrog's IT sector.
