November 16, 2018: First Secretary, Political Department at the German Embassy in Moscow Mr. Mathias Roth made an official visit to the city of Taganrog within the framework of the "German Days" festival.
After a brief meeting with director of "Tschechow Salon" museum,

Chekhov-related memorabilia, including the writer's personal belongings and the special
one-painting room, presenting the
"The White Willows at Pond" by Vasily Polenov and its history.
On the same day, Mr. Roth attended the concert of German classic music, given by Alyone Pletnyova at the South-Russian Center of Science and Culture.
On November 16, German diplomat participated at the "German Days in Taganrog" closing ceremony and awarded the winners of German language contests and transmitted several souvenirs and letters of appreciation on behalf of the German Embassy in Moscow.
