May 12, 2026: at the invitation of Taganrog's sister city, Jining (Shandong Province, China), students of Taganrog Chekhov Teachers College, Taganrog Management and Economy College and Taganrog Technical School of Engineering and Metallurgy participated in an online competition dedicated to the legacy of the great philosopher Confucius.

With the assistance of Tourism and Foreign Relations Department of Taganrog Local Government, 21 videos in Russian, English, German, French, and even Chinese were sent to Jining. In each video, students read excerpts from Confucius's works, dedicated to the creation of a harmonious society, the rules of ethics, the art of governance, and moral self-improvement.

The Chinese organizers are currently summing up the results of the competition, so further information is to be provided.
