June 8, 2025: a photo exhibition highlighting the international significance of the great Russian writer Alexander Pushkin was unveiled to the public at the Taganrog Chekhov Public Library. His works are part of the cultural lives of millions of people from many countries around the world—this is the message of a joint project between the library and Department for Tourism and Foreign Relations of Taganrog Local Government.

A special place in the exhibition is occupied by images from Venezuela: photographs from the unveiling of the Pushkin monument and celebrations marking the 225th anniversary of the poet's birth. The photographs feature historical costumes from Pushkin's era, the flags of Russia and Venezuela, and panoramas of Caracas.

The exhibition also includes materials from Qatar, Morocco, the United Arab Emirates, and Tanzania. The children in the photographs hold books and images of the great poet. This is clear evidence that Pushkin's legacy transcends language barriers and captures the hearts of young readers around the world. All photographs were provided by the Coordinating Councils of Compatriots of the aforementioned countries.

The exhibition will be on display until July 1. Admission is free.
