October 6, 2019: Russian multipurpose amphibian BE-200ES, produced by
Beriev in Taganrog, performed demonstration flights in Turkey. Earlier in September the plane was
presented at Teknofest-2019 - the second biggest aviation event in the world. At the invitation of the Turkish side BE200ES showed its operating and performance characteristics within the framework of familiarization flights program.
Representatives of the Turkish Ministery of Agriculture & Forestry were present onboard of the amphibian to review its manoeuverability and operational capability. BE-200ES participated in a firefighting mission, scooping water from Mediterranean and inland water bodies and then dropping it on a forest fire site. The program was completed on October 2, 2019 and the plane has returned to its base in Taganrog. BE200ES has been highly commended by the official Turkish authorities, who confirmed high efficiency of the aircraft.

14th International Aviation and Space Show MAKS-2019 Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan got acquainted with modern models of Russian aviation technologies, including the multi-purpose amphibious aircraft Be-200, and
September 10, 2019 Turkish delegation led by the Minister of Agriculture & Forestry Bekir Pakdemirli (PhD) and Turkish Ambassador to Russia Mehmet Samsar visited the production site of
Beriev Aircraft Company in Taganrog, manufacturer's service center, Be-200 trainer flight simulator and participated in the talks regarding on eventual sales of Be-200 amphibians to Turkey.
