The region boasts some of the most advanced investment legislation in Russia. In particular, the Land Law allows for land to be leased by an investor for periods of up to 49 years, and the Regional Law on Supporting Investment Activity provides taxation incentives, namely reductions on regional taxes, property and land taxes, taxes on profits from investments.
