For more than a century Krasny Kotelshchik has been the largest boiler manufacturer in Russia and CIS, and one of the leading companies in this business worldwide. The Company retained its position on the market during the years of Russian reforms, continuing to innovate and develop competitive, reliable, highly technological and sophisticated power equipment. In 1993, German Inspectors for TÜV certified welders, welding processes and tube processing at the Krasny Kotelshchik to DIN standards. In 1997, the Company was granted a comprehensive Qualification Certificate by SLV Berlin for production of steel structures.

Krasny Kotelshchik is part of the Public Joint Stock Company "EnergoMashinostroitelny Alliance" (PJSC "EMAlliance"). EMAlliance JSC is one of the largest machine-building companies in Russia, with international experience and references in sales, engineering and design of equipments for thermal energy, oil and gas companies, and atomic energy.
The EMAlliance Holding are: The Machine-Building Plant ZiO-Podolsk, ZiOMar Engineering, Taganrog Krasny Kotelshchik Factory and other companies. More than 80% of power stations in Russian Federation and in CIS countries are equipped with production of these factories. The company is planning to prepare for an initial public offering (IPO) of its shares by 2008.
In 2005, the Krasny Kotelshchik factory signed the largest deal in its more than 100-year history. The order was received through the tender that Krasny Kotelshchik won in cooperation with Federal State Unitary Enterprise Technopromexport. The Contract for construction on "turn-key" basis of Barh Super Thermal Power Project (India) was awarded upon the results of open tender, held by NTPC in November 2004. Barh Super Thermal Power Project is a new thermal power project, located in the Bihar state in India, which runs deficit in electric power.
